Galway Rural Development, are seeking suitable, qualified specialist(s) to provide Water Biodiversity Training and Facilitation to communities in East Galway. Galway Rural Development is keen to encourage water biodiversity best practice in East Galway. To this end, it is proposed to engage a consultant(s) to deliver a Water Biodiversity Training for local community groups in East Galway. The aim of this initiative is to equip these groups with the knowledge and skills necessary to plan for water biodiversity in their work and thus ensure it has minimum negative impact and maximum benefit for the local environmentThrough this programme intended to facilitate the development and implementation of water biodiversity action projects and raise awareness.The training programme will deliver on Galway Rural Development LDS objective 6, Water Resources in East Galway, Strategic Action 6.1 - Community based awareness, management and conservation of water resources; in order promote community water conservation and implement initiatives and programmes to encourage and support communities to engage in water conservation measures.
