Overview of service required:The Ombudsman is inviting tenders for the provision of web development and support services (including annual hosting and content management application provision) for the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales (PSOW) and Complaints Wales Service (CWS) websites.The Ombudsman currently operates 2 websites bilingually as follows:Public Services Ombudsman for Wales websites:www.ombudsman-wales.org.uk (mirrored by www.ombudsman.wales)www.ombwdsmon-cymru.org.uk (mirrored by www.ombwdsmon.cymru)Complaints Wales Service websites:www.complaintswales.org.uk (mirrored by www.complaints.wales)www.cwynioncymru.org.uk (mirrored by www.cwynion.cymru)The tender is to provide similar functionality and content in general as the current websites, but with a view to provide a refreshed and more up to date design aesthetic, along with a simplified and more intuitive method of site navigation.The PSOW’s aim is to have websites that are:•accessible to all potential users and compliant with equality legislation and best practice•a refreshed design which would enhance the PSOW’s professional image•clearly laid out and simple to navigate so that information can be found more easily and intuitively•appropriately reflect the needs of the PSOW’s wide range of stakeholders•explain the service that the PSOW and Complaints Wales offer.•provide an appropriate level of security.It is important to note that as well as a means for the Ombudsman to provide information to the public about his services, the websites are also key to the organisation with regard to their ability for users to submit their complaints to us online and therefore they must contain built in two way communication links between the website content management system and the Ombudsman’s internal Case Management system.The only current design requirements / restrictions are that the new websites maintain the current organisational logos.Applicants will be able to upload a specification document for the website tender upon registering their interest to apply.
