Descriptions
The nature of the works involves new installations and complete electrical upgrade to existing electrical installations including, switchgear components, small power,general & emergency lighting, fire systems, cctv, intruder alarms. Upgrades to existing ESB metering arrangement.The project involves a full electrical rewire and new electrical services installations in school building sections phases 1-4 inclusive with partial upgrades in phases 5 & 6 buildings. The school wiring in general is split into 6 main sections across separate 6 blocks. Each of these blocks shall have a sub-main switchboard which will feed local distribution boards where all new wiring shall emanate from. Other building related works are also scheduled such as builders works, ducting installations, eCar charging ducting, painting and decorating shall occur under this contract. All existing redundant switchgear shall be disconnected, safely removed off site and disposed in accordance with the W.E.E.E directive. The electrical contractor shall be responsible for employing various sub-contractors to handle the various specialised elements of this installation including fire alarm and civil works.
