Descriptions
The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) requires automated equipment for picking, alignment, placement and bonding of mechanical and electronic components including bare semiconductor dice for the assembly of circuit boards, packages and multi-chip modules, particularly for power electronics applications but which should also be capable of assembling electronics circuitry with materials for extended use at high temperatures. The machine will be used to support multiple research and development projects at MTC, including evaluation of joining methods, materials and component combinations and the repeatability, yield, throughput and cost of processes on production representative equipment.
