BMS Upgrade
Descriptions
CPI is a leading independent technology innovation centre and a founding member of the UK Government's High Value Manufacturing Catapult, which supports businesses and academia to help them overcome innovation challenges in the development of next generation products and processes by providing the facilities, in depth technical expertise and innovation support to enable ideas, research and knowledge to be translated into commercial business propositions. CPI Neville Hamlin Building (NHB) is located at NetPark. NHB houses a range of offices, laboratories, warehouses/storerooms, and a class 100 and class 1000 clean room. The original building is circa 15 years old, with the cleanroom being extended circa 8 years ago. The original building was constructed with a BMS (building management system) to monitor and, where appropriate, control the building services such as lighting and power distribution, domestic hot water production and distribution and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems such that temperature, relative humidity and air pressure can be controlled throughout the facility. The existing BMS is reaching end-of-life and requires replacing. In addition, CPI are seeking to update the technology to the latest version such that it can assist CPI in managing building utility usage as part of CPI's journey to decarbonise its facilities. Thus, the new BMS should incorporate an Environmental Monitoring System (EMS). The new BMS/EMS should be set up with at least 2 levels of user access: "view only" and "full administrative rights" (more than two levels is acceptable).
