Design Brief - Main Goals, 1. New wheeled sports facility in Upper Louie Memorial Playing Field to replace the original Botley Bowl., 2. To provide a high quality and inclusive facility that offers space for beginners as well as opportunity for progression to more challenging features for more advanced riders., 3. To honour the unique history and reputation of the original Botley Bowl., 4. To have the build completed and park open by Q2 2022., Design Brief, ● A bowl: 5-6ft deep., ● Mini ramp: 2-3ft deep with 10ft-12ft flat section or as advised by experts, ● (Alternative: A "key hole" bowl that accommodates both bowl and mini-ramp described above), ● Street section - specific features to be advised but toinclude a flat section for beginners, ● Rollover and pump sections, ● Steel coping to provide robust edges for low maintenance, ● At least two sections that can accommodate riders simultaneously, ● To accommodate riders of all abilities and various types of wheeled sports, ● Good flow to the park with natural progression from beginner features to advanced features, ● Design to work in sympathy with surrounding area, making use of existing material and avoiding costly excavation of the old bowl if possible.
