Bulk Fuel Installation - RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus

We are seeking bidders to construct a replacement BFI ( Bulk Fuel Installation ) at RAF Akrotiri on the previous disinvested site. The project, BFI East, will comprise the installation of above ground aviation fuel storage (3 x 1,000m3 vertical, steel tanks ), slops tanks (3 x 50m3 horizontal tanks ) within suitably sized bunds, a pump room housing the fuel pumps, filter water separators, additive injection, fuel issue and receipt points for bowsers with cantilevered canopies, firefighting equipment with associated water storage, a control building with parking facilities. Power to the new facility will require a power supply upgrade and new standby generator. In addition an automation system will be required for tank gauging, valve control, additive injection and pipeline receipts. The pipeline receipt system will require interface with an existing automation system at the despatch facility. This work is on an active military base requiring all construction staff to be vetted to achieve security clearance. Concept design and layout will be provided. The project will be let as a design and build NEC 3 contract, requiring completion prior to March 2024.
