Bus Stop Infrastructure Framework

Descriptions

A key objective of Worcestershire's Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) is to progress to a consistent, accessible, and quality provision of infrastructure for passengers both on- and off-bus. The provision of bus stop infrastructure is not a statutory function but is necessary to ensure safe and convenient access to the public transport network. The Council has power to provide bus stop infrastructure through the Transport Act (1985), Section 63 (6(b)).

Worcestershire County Council (WCC) is introducing a bus stop infrastructure framework to procure bus stop infrastructure products and services. The new contract will be a multi-supplier and multi-lot framework for the provision of a consistent range of bus shelter specifications, bus shelter maintenance services, in-shelter technology including real-time display provision and ancillary bus stop infrastructure.
