The purpose of this PIN is to notify the market of pre procurement market engagement. In line with NHS England and Improvement’s national programme to consolidate current pathology services across England and to establish networks, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (together the ‘Trusts’) are proposing to go to the commercial market for pathology managed services in a collaborative procurement led by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The aim of the resulting contracts is to deliver a networked service which improves quality, standardisation and secures financial savings. This notification invites potential suppliers who wish to be involved in the market engagement to register their interest. As a part of the market engagement, the Trusts wish to explore, as way of example; future developments and technology including space optimisation, in-scope services, lean methodologies to support efficient workflows plus optimal contract durations, commercial structures and procurement procedures. The Trusts reserve the right to explore all routes to market during this process.
