DeltaStream Demonstration Project, Fabrication & Assembly Contract

TEL wishes to appoint a Contractor to fabricate and assemble the DeltaStream device and deliver to the quay side at the Port of Pembroke, Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire, South Wales.The Contract of work will require the fabrication and erection of a steelwork frame together with the turbine nacelle to form the fully assembled DeltaStream unit. The Contractor will be responsible for the integration and assembly of components (for example, turbine rotor, gear hub, electrical generator, drive train, electrical cabling and ancillary components) to form the complete nacelle, most of the components shall be supplied free issue by Tidal Energy Limited.The Contractor shall carry out all on-device assembly and integration including cabling and pipework, mounting of transducers and monitoring equipment. A shore side commissioning and test programme will be carried out in collaboration with the Electrical Systems Integrator prior to handover of the completed device. The Contractor will deliver the fully assembled device at the Quay at Pembroke Dock ready for the Marine Installation Contractor to transfer the device to an appropriate vessel for transportation to the deployment site. The Contractor will carry out all operations in accordance with all appropriate health and safety regulations and provide evidence of insurances necessary for the work.
