TEL wishes to appoint a contractor for the design, manufacture and delivery of the 6.6kV Submarine Dry-Mate Cable Connection System, providing a key component for the electrical system of the DeltaStream Demonstration Turbine.This contract will require the supply of a dry mate cable connection system to connect an import/export subsea cable to the DeltaStream Demonstration Device. The DeltaStream shall have its own induction generator that will be connected to shore by a subsea power cable. ‘Raw’ power from the generator at a nominal 450kVA, 3 phase, 6.6kv will be transmitted to the power conditioning plant located ashore at the point of connection to the local electrical distribution system.The cable connection system shall be delivered to, and offloaded by the Contractor to the Port of Pembroke, Pembroke Dock, South West Wales. Once, delivered the Contractor shall be responsible for the integration and testing of the connection system to the subsea cable and the DeltaStream device.
