Improve, the Sector Skills Council for the food and drink industry, is managing a Welsh Government, European Social Fund project that has two distinct strands – Tasty Networks and Tasty Bites.The Tasty Networks strand seeks to develop training provision for the food and drink sector in Wales. It will do this by working in partnership with Training Providers to develop a network of expertise and specialist capability. Informed by businesses in the sector, Improve will work with Training Providers to raise standards of delivery and create provision where gaps exist.Tasty Bites provides funding support for bespoke and contextualised training interventions from Level 2 to Level 4, for Welsh food and drink businesses. Led by business and learner needs, training provision will be developed from bite-sized units of learning or existing qualifications and be delivered through the specialist network of training providers.The footprint of this project covers food and drink manufacturing businesses, food and drink wholesalers, and those concerned with food and drink manufacturing in a retail setting.Improve would like to invite expressions of interest from Training Providers who would like to join Tasty Networks and deliver Tasty Bites training.Further information about the opportunity that this project represents for Training Providers, how to register an expression of interest, the sustainability investment required and the benefits of joining Tasty Networks, is contained within the attached document titled:‘STW Notice.
