Evaluation of the Resilient Responders Programme

Resilient Responders was developed in consultation with and in response to the psychosocial needs of frontline workers, managers and volunteers (referred as personnel hereafter) at BRC; the Fire and Rescue services of South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire; Nottinghamshire Local Resilience Forum (LRF); and the Civil Contingencies Unit (CCU) in Staffordshire. The project will provide regular and focused psychosocial support to frontline personnel working within Crisis Response and Event First Aid, paramedics and other frontline staff within BRC Ambulance Support, and firefighters and frontline workers at the aforementioned Fire and Rescue services across England namely North West, North East, Yorkshire and Humber, East and West Midlands, South East and London, and Channel Islands. The BRC are looking for an independent evaluator to help up us develop and refine our logistical framework, measure the impact that psychosocial support has for those in emergency services, identify key learnings for the programme, and help inform recommendations for best practice in supporting the resilience of emergency responders.
