F11306 Surrey Wheelchair Service Follow Up Market Engagement Event
Descriptions
A follow up market engagement event is to be held on 17.4.2019. NHS Surrey Downs CCG as Lead Commissioner on behalf of 6 Surrey CCGs (namely NHS Surrey Downs CCG, NHS North West Surrey CCG, NHS Guildford and Waverley CCG, NHS East Surrey CCG, NHS Surrey Heath CCG and NHS North East Hampshire and Farnham CCG with a collective population of 1 190 000), is hosting a second market engagement event in regard to the wheelchair service procurement anticipated for launch later in 2019. The objective of the event is to further consult with both service users and potential bidders on a number of facets within the service specification and changes that have emerged since the last consultation. The venue is the Grand Hall and Masonic Hall, Dorking Halls, Reigate Road, Dorking, RH4 1SG. The main aim of the service is to ensure that individuals within the Surrey area, who have a long-term illness, disability or mobility problems, have a better quality of life and are able to maximise their mobility through the provision of a wheelchair that meets their clinical needs. The service will include assessment, postural management, rehabilitation engineering services, product procurement, storage, delivery and collection, repair and servicing, refurbishment, modification and decontamination of wheelchairs, plus specialist seating bases for children, young people and adults living in the Surrey area. Surrey currently has 14 311 clients registered with the wheelchair services and receives approximately 3 478 referrals annually, with approximately 1 167 being new referrals and 2 311 re-referrals from existing clients. The commissioners’ expect to contract with a single provider for the entire service provision, although providers are encouraged to form cooperative alliances in order to deliver the full service specification. The commissioners are supported in this programme by their procurement partner NHS South of England Procurement Services (SoEPS), which is managing this procurement. NHS Surrey Downs CCG intends to publish a first draft specification for review and feedback, which you will receive following registration, along with advance pre-reading material in the form of the event agenda containing questions for consideration during the event. We are actively seeking input from the market and stakeholders into the design and development of this service and encourage you to attend with a view to full engagement. We strongly encourage delegates to read this material ahead of the events. Providers wishing to attend should register on the SoEPS Commissioning eTender portal — https://in-tendhost.co.uk/soepscommissioning and select project F11306 MEE19. Click “Express and Interest” and in the view documents area, download and complete the event registration form. Return the completed form via the portal messaging system. Please note that attendance will be strictly limited to 1 attendee per organisation. In the event that you are unable to attend but would like to receive a copy of presentation materials following the event, please complete the registration form indicating your request in the tick list accordingly.
