Descriptions
NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) have a requirement the Supply of Solutions, Reagents and Serums. NHSBT Laboratories including Tissue and Eye Services (TES), RCI, Donor Testing, H&I, CMT, CBC and IBGRL are specialist functions of National Health Service Blood and Transplant (NHSBT). The solutions are used for patient and donor testing and within the manufacture of Tissue Grafts and reagents used for blood grouping and patient testing. NHSBT are looking to engage with suppliers who can provide any of our requirements as we look to create a Framework Agreement in which multiple suppliers will be awarded LOTS based on the items they can provide. Phosphate Buffered Saline Solution (PBSS) Low Ionic Strength Solution (LISS) Cambridge Antibiotic Solution Skin Cryopreservation Medium Amniotic Membrane Cryopreservation Medium Nuclear Buffer Base Cardiovascular and Meniscus Cryopreservation Medium Decellularised Dermis Cryopreservation Medium Bovine Serum Albumin Modified Alsevers Solution Frozen cell Recovery Solution NHSBT wishes to invite those organisations who express an interest in this opportunity to Supplier engagement meetings to be held on-line via Microsoft Teams on 29th July 2025. Any interested organisations are asked to contact carley.butcher@nhsbt.nhs.uk and rowena.thomas@nhsbt.nhs.uk by no later than 17:00 on the 21st July 2025 to express their interest. If you do not respond by this date, you are not excluded from participating in the forthcoming tender, this date is to allow for optional supplier engagement meetings to be organised. There is no guarantee that a formal procurement process will be launched as a result of this early market engagement exercise, nor that any contract(s) will be placed. No remuneration or compensation etc will be paid to organisations who take part in this early market engagement exercise. Suppliers should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand and accept this position. Further information e.g. draft technical specification, award criteria and timescales may be released for consultation purposes only, to organisations who express an interest in this notice. Please note that all details are subject to change.
