NewcastleGateshead Initiative (NGI) is working as the delivery organisation and accountable body for Great Exhibition of the North (GEOTN) a three-month exhibition, running from the 22nd June until the 9th of September, that will take place in NewcastleGateshead in 2018. GEOTN will be a true celebration and showcase of the best art, design and innovation from across the North of England. As part of the delivery of the GEOTN, NGI are seeking to appoint a supplier to design and develop a Wayfinder App that will help visitors to effortlessly navigate their way around the exhibition and incentivise them to discover content across each of the 3 walking trails. In addition to wayfinding functionality, requirements for the app also include: • Light gamification • Notifications • Experience sharing • Data capture • Reporting and evaluating data • Listing and publishing relevant GEOTN content The GEOTN will be one of the biggest exhibitions in the UK next year attracting nearly 1.5m visitors, of which an expected 100,000 will download the app.
