GP Primary Care Urgent Care Services

Descriptions

The urgent care system needs to make radical changes to become more efficient and responsive to the number of people who are accessing hospital services via the urgent care route. To achieve this, Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (BHNFT) is working to: - Ensure patients receive the right advice at the right time in the right place. - Increase robust services to meet patient needs. BHNFT currently commissions GPs working in it’s Emergency Department (ED) to see and treat primary care type patients. BHNFT are seeking to engage with the potential providers to understand the levels of interest within the market and to discuss potential models of service delivery in relation to provision of this service. Suitably experienced interested parties may be invited to discuss potential service delivery models with BHNFT to help shape the requirements in advance of any formal procurement / contracting activity. A draft specification has been developed and included with this notice and interested parties should contact Martin Ball by email to express their interest in this project and outline their relevant experience and capability. The deadline for receipt of expressions of interest is 12 noon on Weds 6th April 2016.
