BCCU are inviting written tenders from competent individuals, companies or consortia with expertise working with teams that are specialists in built environment research, urban design, infrastructure design, community engagement and participation and the green transition, to define a roadmap and provide project coordination for the Ireland’s Greenest town Initiative. This initiative has the aim of making Ballina, Ireland’s Greenest Town by 2025 and a prototype model for towns to transition towards net-zero carbon emissions (the green transition).The ambition is to by achieved through:•Broad community stakeholder engagement and mobilization•Encouraging climate positive behavioural change from individuals and groups•Defining and implementing the green infrastructure needed to facilitate behavioural change•The utilization of smart city principals, employing a data driven approach to recording baselines and setting change targets•Encouraging council policy alignment with community initiatives and green principals•Empowering communities and individuals to begin their own green initiativesActions, Projects and initiatives will cover 5 core areas for transition:•Energy•Mobility•Ecology•Economy•PeopleFor more please see:https://www.irelandsgreenesttown.com/
