Grounds Maintenance Contract

Descriptions

Ross-on-Wye Town Council is responsible for areas of land situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Conservation Area. The current contract for Grounds Maintenance is due to expire and the Council wishes to realise some financial savings whilst looking at on-going improvements to service delivery. The Contract consists of grounds maintenance i.e. grass cutting and strimming in addition to shrub bed maintenance and provision of hanging baskets and pole toppers. There is scope for provisional items which include hedge cutting, play area maintenance and inspection, weed control, arboricultural works and street cleansing services. The Council is aware the land within its control is widely used for amenity purposes and leisure activities and therefore ideas for developing the maintenance programme to achieve improved results will be welcomed. The Council will be looking at appointing a contractor with a proven track record in this sector and an organisation which can demonstrate a commitment to driving up standards through investing in its staff. A portfolio of previous schemes of work highlighting competency, creativity and capability will be welcome with all bids.
