The Company Factor Development Cyf owns several renewable energy systems in West Wales and the valleys the majority of systems are located in the Merthyr area with some projects running in Swansea, Carmarthen and Pembrokeshire. The company is planning to outsource the maintenance of these systems for the next five years this will include managing all warranty issues with original installers as well as replacement and installation of non warranty parts or installation of warrant parts outside the labour warranty period of the original installation contracts (typically 2 years).
