Kilmartin Museum Company Ltd requires the successful tenderer to provide exhibition design and build contractor services for full 3d, 2d, artwork and lighting design services with responsibility for coordinating with the Client and other relevant consultants, specialists, suppliers and sub-contractors involved in the project. This will include but not be limited to the following elements/disciplines: 3d works 2d graphics Artworking Specialist exhibition lighting Conservation grade showcases Specialist object mounts Interactives Multi-media / audio visual (AV) Sound design AV software design AV hardware The Exhibition Design and Build contractor will be required to deliver the exhibition fit-out through to completion and public opening. They will also deliver the foyer/reception furniture and retail fit-out. This work will include: Liaising in detail with the Client, architects and architectural design team and their consultants. Ensure that the project is developed within the approved budget. Leading value engineering exercises where necessary. Contracting the exhibition fit-out contractor and overseeing the appointment of any relevant sub-contractors Programming and supervising the on-site installation and commissioning of the exhibition Supervision of the exhibition fit-out contractor, including quality control and cost control The Exhibition Design and Build contractor appointed will work alongside KMCL staff including the museum Director and Archaeological Curator, Interpretation and Engagement Manager, education and operational staff. They will be managed by the external Interpretation Project Manager. KMCL staff will provide artefact and archaeological information, as well as develop themes, storylines and outline content. An outline design proposal, describing how your company would treat the exhibition design based on the summary outlined below is required as part of your submission. This should be accompanied by a price/cost breakdown working to an indicative budget range of 600-700k GBP ex VAT for the exhibition build and installation (excl professional fees).
