Marine Power Systems (MPS) has set an ambitious plan to help achieve the world’s net-zero targets. On its mission to unlock the power of oceans, the company has developed a modular, flexible, floating offshore energy platform for low cost accelerated deployment at scale.In the summer of 2023, MPS’ Megawatt-Scale (MWS) Demonstrator project will install a floating wind energy platform at the Biscay Marine Energy Platform (BiMEP) test site in northern Spain. BiMEP offers deep water conditions with a direct connection to the Spanish electricity grid making it an ideal site for MPS to test and operate the device for up to 5 years.MPS is seeking a highly experienced contractor to complete the platform fabrication and the assembly of the platform’s components as well as all sub-systems, ready to be towed out for offshore installation.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=121122.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
