Descriptions
The independent demolition consultant shall be Suitably Qualified and Experienced (SQEP) with a demonstrable record for discharging guidance on large scale, high hazard and complex demolition, decommissioning and decontamination projects. The demolition consultant shall have heavily regulated sector-specific experience and shall be an established and active member of the Institute of Demolition Engineers (IDE). In addition, the demolition consultant will be affiliated and/or accredited (demolition and related sectors). Below is the list of the likely technical services which will need to be fulfilled by the successful consultancy. These services will be aligned with the Magnox technical delivery strategy and could be amended or added to as the project develops in line with the programme. Each service demand will be instructed via specific TO and managed on a case by case basis with clear capture of deliverables, timescales and interface requirements. Likely technical umbrella services may include, but not be limited to (expanded in the following sections): 1. Technical familiarisation; 2. Technical support (concept and development phases); 3. Technical support (tender process); 4. General consultancy (various phases); 5. Training (various phases).
