Ymddiriedolaeth Drws I’r Dyffryn - The Tywi Gateway Trust wishes to appoint a community consultation specialist to work bilingually with the Bishop’s Park Walled Garden Project team to develop a community consultation plan as part of the development stage of the Bishop’s Park Walled Garden Project. The consultant will then work with the project team to undertake community consultation in relation to capital works and community engagement opportunities in Parc yr Esgob walled garden at Parc yr Esgob - Bishop’s Park, Old Bishop’s Palace, Abergwili, Carmarthenshire, SA31 2JG (NGR SN441209).The work will be undertaken as part of the 12 month Walled Garden Project Development Phase. The consultation results will be used to inform the detailed plans for the delivery phase of the project being produced alongside the consultation process by the rest of the project team. These will form the basis for our second phase funding application to NLHF in August 2024.This Project will restore and re-invigorate the walled garden, encouraging more diverse and inclusive volunteering and visits to Parc yr Esgob. Working with the local community we will conserve and protect surviving historical features, and create a multi-functional space that will enable a range of health and wellbeing, educational, training and community services to be delivered based around horticulture, food production, nature conservation, and events management.Please download "Parc yr Esgob Walled Garden Project - Evaluation Consultant brief" August 2023, for further details.
