The Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking to award a contract for up to 5 years for the provision of the pharmaceutical drug supply for Mental Health services, and the Pharmaceutical Dispensing Services for Trust specified sites within the Dudley and Walsall Area. Additional outpatient prescribing may also be undertaken via prescribers within the network of community based teams.It is envisaged that the contract will comprise of the following elements:1) Procurement and storage of pharmaceutical products2) Supply of pharmaceutical products for in and out patient use3) Clinical stock management4) Management of clozapine dispensing5) Out of hours service provision6) Financial and clinical management information7) Dispensing in compliance aids as needed8) Dispensing of daily instalments of medicines if required9) Medicines Information10) Clinical trials supportThe main objective of the Trust is to improve the health of the communities it serves through medicines optimisation. The Trust is seeking a provider who is willing to work with the Trust to deliver on this objective.The above information summarises the Trust's current understanding of its requirements but the precise scope of the contract will be confirmed in the full service specification that will be published at the Invitation to Tender stage.
