The proposed works contract is for a residential development of 136 units of social and affordable housing at the former St Patricks Barracks, Ballymena, including associated road infrastructure, landscaping, childrens play park and other ancillary works. The complexity of the housing project includes site clearance; cut and fill works; remediation, piling; retaining walls; the construction of 136 dwellings; utility alterations; all engineering services and external site development works and the provision of a play park. The contract will be for approximately 30 months from date of award and is schedule to start by mid 2021. It is expected ALL social housing units built under this contract will achieve Secured By Design and Lifetime Homes accreditation.
