Project Manager - Heritage Fund Programme

Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration is restoring and repurposing the New River Head industrial heritage site as the national centre for illustration, including a home for Quentin Blake's archive. We have recently been awarded a Development Grant by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (also known as the Heritage Fund or NLHF). This will fund a programme of work to develop our understanding of costs, resources, timeline and audience needs, enabling us to develop our application to apply for a full grant of £2.5million towards the project. We need a part-time Project Manager, or project management provider, to oversee and provide administrative support for the work funded by the Heritage Fund. The Project Manager will: •create a critical path plan •coordinate fortnightly project updates for the Senior Management Team and Capital Projects Steering Group •support external consultant contracting, induction and arrangements •monitor project spend •collate progress reports, professional reports and the final report •produce an evaluation of the Development phase We have a budget of £20,000 available to fund this work during the Development Phase. The anticipated timescale is January to May 2023 although the Project Manager will play a critical role in further developing the timeline beyond this.
