Proposed replacement of existing glazed link corridor at Cashel Community School, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

Contractors are invited to tender for the replacement of the existing link corridor in its’ entirety, including roof, windows & door (245 SqM overall footprint) with a new integrated aluminium curtain wall / lean-to roof structure with insulated infill upstand panels incorporating a structural steel frame, openable windows, fire escape door, and including the re-fixing of all flashings and counter flashings & the like, installation of mechanical extract from adjoining Specialist classrooms through the new structure, replacement of marmoleum floor coverings within the footprint of the corridor, etc. These works generally include the careful removal of the existing structure, consisting of timber windows, doors & frames and the subsequent registered disposal, scaffolding / access platforms, builders work, including protecting adjoining areas (from dust & the like), making-good any damage to adjoining areas, painting & decoration, cleaning, etc., associated with the replacement / upgrade works.Please note that all works are to be carried out in strict adherence with the Department of Education and Skills technical guidance documents and general specification for primary schools, but specifically TGD 021-1a. It is paramount that the tendering Contractor is in a position to commence works on site immediately following appointment and has such resources available to meet the handover date of mid-August 2019.
