The Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland is seeking to engage an external expert to carry out a review of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) model for pharmacists in Ireland, the purpose of which is to identify best regulatory practice, evaluate current governance and management structures, and propose a viable and sustainable CPD model for pharmacists in Ireland. This is a multi-annual project for the PSI. A public consultation on the current CPD model was carried out in 2021. The review of the model is being completed in 2022, and implementation of any agreed changes will commence in 2023.
