Descriptions

Ramblers Cymru - Paths to WellbeingCommunity Leaflet Design and ProductionBrief Description of Services RequiredPaths to Wellbeing (P2W) is a collaborative project to improve people’s access to a more biodiverse Wales. Ramblers Cymru wishes to appoint a graphic designer / illustrator to create 18 A2 leaflets (one for each P2W community) to promote the project and the 145 new walking routes (8 per community) pan Wales. They will need to create illustrations/ imagery that are factually accurate however easy to understand based on OS GPX files sent directly from our project officers. Theses maps will make up some of the leaflet. We also require these to be printed A2 double sided in full colour and folded into a pamphlet size. The 18 bi-lingual (Welsh and English) Paths to Wellbeing community leaflets will form part of the overall comms and marketing plan to promote and celebrate the project, the relevant community, and the newly formed walking routes in that location. These are to be designed in accordance with the Ramblers brand and values (guidelines and assets provided) and act as an overview of each of the 18 communities, symbolising a tangible resource for volunteers and the public to be proud of.Estimated Deadline: 15th Jan 2023Key Contact Details:Hannah Wilcox Brooke, Project Manager, Paths to Wellbeinghannah.brooke@ramblers.org.ukJoe Marshall-Mills, Monitoring Officer, Paths to Wellbeingjoe.marshall-mills @ramblers.org.uk1.Background and OverviewThe Welsh Government’s Enabling Natural Resources and Wellbeing (ENRAW) has awarded funds for Ramblers Cymru to deliver a pan-Wales access and nature focused project. Working regionally, the project will facilitate community volunteering to enhance local green spaces, nature and access. In partnership with local authorities and environmental NGOs, Regional Officers will help identify alignments between nature and access objectives, acting as catalysts and facilitators to deliver action against the strategic plans and business objectives of partners and Ramblers Cymru. The project works with 18 communities across Wales. Through community and partner consultation, and engagement with new and existing volunteers, each region is benefiting from investment in infrastructure and equipment that drives forward the ambitions, and meets the local need, for better quality, more biodiverse, more accessible green spaces. In addition to staff in each of the 6 regions (aligned with NRW Area Statements), each regional officer has access to capital and revenue funding for infrastructure and equipment, volunteer recruitment and training, promotional material (including site-specific materials), and development support (to identify ongoing funding and additional resources). The 2 year project ends June 2023.2.Requirements18 A2 bi-lingual, double sided (Welsh and English) leaflet designs, one for each of the Paths to Wellbeing communities (design continuity required but flexible enough to accommodate differences between communities).Each leaflet will contain;oAn appropriate basemap with the new 8 community routes overlayed (generalised to suit size and level of information).
