Reading Borough Council is seeking a commercial bicycle hire operator to run a cycle hire scheme prominently in Reading Borough, but also other key destinations in the travel to work area, including those in Wokingham and West Berkshire. The operator will have the option of supplying and installing the necessary on-street cycle hire infrastructure for a docked or undocked scheme or utilising existing cycle hire infrastructure, including bikes, docking stations and terminals. The operator will have the option of advertising on cycle hire infrastructure, including bikes and terminals, subject to planning consent.
