North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service hosted by NHS England and is supporting a procurement process to award a short term contract for the provision of intermediate care rehabilitation beds in Darlington for and on behalf of NHS Darlington Clinical Commissioning Group (DCCG).This short term contract is to enable the DCCG to continue to deliver services in a robust and cost effective manner whilst undertaking a review to enter into a future procurement process of all intermediate care beds currently provided in the Darlington locality which will be effective as a single contract from 1.4.2021. The current services provided are 14 intermediate care rehabilitation beds and 9 short stay nursing beds, which will be subject to review prior to the commencement of any further procurement process. This is a call for competition as per Regulation 75 (i) (B (iv)) of the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) 2015.
