North Cumbria University Hospitals are considering a 4 year contract for the provision of a GS1 compliant RFiD (Radio Frequency Identification) on all patient records.Prior to the commencement of the procurement process, the Trust wish to makes themselves aware of any potential solutions currently available within the market and, as such and without prejudice, intend to invite interested parties, whose product fits with this opportunity, to a ‘Discovery day’ where they can present to the Trust. We anticipate that these will be at the beginning of January 2018.It is important to the Trust that any proposed solution should already be established within the NHS and must be able to fully integrate into the Patient Administration System. References or case studies of successful implementations must be available on request.Please note that at this stage North Cumbria University Hospitals only wish to gather expressions of interest.
