Rethink Ireland and the Department of Rural and Community Development wish to invite tenders from suitably qualified and experienced consultants to carry out research into a legal label (also called legal status) for the Irish social enterprise sector, building on the Research on Legal Form for Social Enterprises report.Consultants must have demonstrable expertise and understanding of the Social Enterprise sector and expertise in regulatory aspects of businesses and charities.Key elements of the role:Carry out a review of international best practice regarding Legal Status legislation Assess the potential for the Irish Social Enterprise ecosystem and its regulatory implications via stakeholder consultationsDevelop a final report on the findings, including conclusions regarding the suitability, practicality and benefits of a potential legal status for social enterprise in IrelandWork required: up to 16 daysTimeline: until July 2022
