Study on Better Evidencing Benefits Attributable to NPL's Work in Radiotherapy

Descriptions

The National Measurement System (NMS) provides the UK with an infrastructure of laboratories that deliver world-class measurement science and technology and provide traceable and accurate standards of measurement. Improving the productivity of UK industry is essential in sustaining and improving prosperity for our nation, and measurement plays a fundamental role in optimising and improving industrial processes. The NMS focuses on major societal challenges, through the set-up of challenge areas which sit across measurement science functions. One of these challenge areas is 'Life Science and Health,' which aims to improve standards and methods across healthcare, contribute towards developments in healthcare technologies, and improve the delivery of healthcare services while helping to reduce costs. This RfQ invites applications for one of the four short-term health impacts studies that were identified by a previous scoping study. This impact study will aim to estimate the benefits resulting from NPL's work in the field of Radiotherapy and Radiation Dosimetry. Further information about NPL's contributions in this area is provided later.
