Techniquest is seeking to commission an experienced, creative contractor to help us develop our first web app.This web app will encourage our visitors to engage with our interactive exhibits, aid them in navigating through our exhibition, and provide a deeper level of content than is currently available through traditional labelling and physical information panels.ObjectivesThis web app will be used by audiences visiting Techniquest. It will perform the following key functions:Assist audiences in navigating the Techniquest exhibition. Key audiences for primary interaction with this site are:oParents and adult carers of young childrenoTeachersoOlder children from the ages of 11 upwardsoIndependent adultsProvide more detailed background information to a selection of key exhibits. This information will include:oDetailed instructions for operating the exhibit,potentially including video contentoRelevant STEM (science, technology, engineering andmaths) content.oCurriculum or careers related information relevant to theexhibitProvide the option of a challenge that motivates visitors to explore other areas of the exhibitionActs as a portal for audiences to subscribe to Techniquest services, and in turn creates a database of users available to Techniquest for marketing and audience research and analysis.Is a framework suitable for development of further additional activities such as personalised content and social media links.
