Transforming Learning Disability Services in Mid and West Wales: A Regional ‘Statement of Intent’

Descriptions

Clear challenges lie ahead for the delivery of Learning Disability services in Mid and West Wales to make the service sustainable and fit for purpose, in a context of increasing demand, constraints in funding and new statutory responsibilities under the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act.Proposals are invited from suitably experienced and qualified providers to work with the regional Learning Disabilities Partnership (LDP) to produce a strategic ‘Statement of Intent’ for the region which provides an evidenced baseline of current provision and sets out clear and shared commitments through which partner organisations across health and social care will continue the journey of transformation. The Statement of Intent will draw on existing intelligence and identify how innovative solutions already in place in the region can be consolidated to put Mid and West Wales at the forefront of progressive service delivery. The Statement of Intent will be presented to the Learning Disabilities Strategic Board for ratification in September 2014.Tenders must provide a detailed proposed methodology, information on relevant skills, experience and appropriate client references. Costings should be provided that cover preparation and delivery costs, travel and subsistence etc.Proposals will be considered against set criteria pertaining to likely delivery of required outcomes, relevant experience of potential contractors and value for money.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=12684.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
