Descriptions
The aim of the Leg Ulcer and Non-Healing Wound Service is to improve the quality of life for people with or at risk of recurrence of leg ulcers through the delivery of clinically effective care and advice and reduce the risk of recurrence.The service will include the assessment, treatment and follow up for patients with leg ulcers of venous, arterial and mixed aetiology.The Commissioner wishes to use this market engagement opportunity to seek views about its strategy to commission the service. This is a process designed to help the Commissioner form a view of the best way to commission the service and is not the beginning of a Tender exercise. A further Tender advertisement will be issued at the appropriate time where required.The Commissioners previously considered the suitability to continue using the Any Qualified Provider provision but is now considering a procurement that will result in a single contract award.
