University College Birmingham’s (“UCB” and/or the “University”) Phase 2 development is the 2nd stage in the University’s master plan within the jewellery quarter. Phase 1 (McIntyre House) was opened for its first student intake in September 2014 and focussed on the delivery of higher education within a series of flexible lecture and seminar spaces.This Phase 2 development, intended to become a focal point for the University, will provide approximately 8500m2 of additional FE and HE facilities with a mixture of teaching space, sports teaching facilities, lecture theatres, social learning areas, staff offices, catering facilities and a multi-storey car park to provide around 160 spaces.The University owns the site that is located in the jewellery quarter, Birmingham between Charlotte Street, George Street and Holland Street beside the University’s existing building; McIntyre House.
