The Lingatunda SHP is located on the Lilondi River, Ruvuma region, Tanzania. Virunga Power is lead developer through the project SPV, Lilondi Hydropower Ltd (LHL). LHL seeks a Contractor for the SHP, a 4.56 MWrated capacity run-of-the-river hydroelectric project. The Contractor scope of works will be project turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction, including:— design,— procurement and construction of civil and hydraulic structures (including, weir, intake structure, sand tank, surge tank, powerhouse, tailrace, medium voltage switchyard, etc.),— installation and commissioning of electromechanical equipment and— construction of 5 km 33 kV low voltage distribution line to national grid substation.Salient project features:— 5 m high vertical drop weir with no storage,— 717 m long GRP penstock with 1 100/1 000 mm diameter and 180 m long GRP low pressure pipe with 1 100 mm diam diameter,— 2 Pelton vertical axis turbines,— 8 300 m of access roads (2 000 m new and 6 300 m rehabilitated).
