WEEE Services Contract

Descriptions

The Authority invites tenders for a service concession contract for WEEE Services. The Contractor shall provide a PCS which, at a minimum, shall include the services set out in the Specification. The Authority requires the collection of WEEE from a number of Designated Collection Facility (DCF) located within the Authority Area. Once collected, the Contractor shall be responsible for arranging Re-use and Recycling of the WEEE and its constituent materials at Approved Authorised Treatment Facilities (AATFs) within the UK or, where possible, Approved Exporters for treatment should be limited to within Europe, all in accordance with WEEE Regulations. These will form the Core Services. In addition, the Authority requires Additional Services to maximise the quantity of WEEE being diverted from the residual waste stream and to maintain the service levels currently in place. These Additional Services are: a)Provision, maintenance, and collection of WEEE from WEEE Bring Banks b)Collection of WEEE from residents at the kerbside or estates
