The project requires a strategic report that lays the foundations for the development of a roadmap for Welsh forestry. Such a roadmap would not only describe a clear vision of the prize for Wales (including quantifiable targets for employment, balance of trade, sustainable construction, timber security, carbon etc.) but also describe in some detail how these targets can be met and paid for.The report would be expected to include:A broad description of the principal of a Welsh woodland roadmap and how it could be used to guide strategy and planning for public and private organisations involved in the development and implementation of policy and actions in the forest sector.A credible and justified vision for Welsh forestry and forest industries, including forest area, productivity, employment and processing industries.How a roadmap can operate synergistically with the Woodlands for Wales strategy and the use of performance indicators (as described in the Woodlands for Wales Indicators report)A detailed description of the required work packages and how they can be delivered - including research strategy, stakeholder engagement, section content and a list of organisations with the expertise to provide the required detail.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=16809.
