Research and Development into a Patient Treatment Environment Simulation System

Descriptions

The British Army is in the process of procuring the Future Protected Battlefield Ambulance (FPBFA). FPBFA will be the first ambulance purchased by the British Army specifically for role. As such, it will be the first ambulance in service within which it will be possible to conduct all of the mandated clinical tasks and procedures which should be achievable during medical evacuation. To reduce demand on the use of the operational vehicle fleet for training, the British Army requires a capability which enables training, validation and assessment of these clinical tasks, by clinical staff, within a simulated FPBFA.
