Cryogenic Probe Station
Descriptions
The National Physical Laboratory [NPL] requirement is for a new cryogenic probe station for measurements of superconducting circuits. The new system should have a demonstrated capability to perform low-noise DC and microwave measurements (up to at least 20 GHz) and be equipped with 4 interchangeable probes that can be accurately positioned. The temperature of the sample stage should be controllable from 293K down to a base temperature of 5.5K or less. The system should be cryogen free (i.e. not use liquid helium). The system will be used for wafer-scale probing of superconducting circuits; meaning measurement automation, rapid turnaround, and sample exchange are required.
