LBN — Befriending Service
Descriptions
The London Borough of Newham (LBN) wishes to commission a ‘Newham Befriending Service’. The Newham Befriending Service (NBS) will be available to adult residents in Newham who: (a) are aged over 18; (b) are the only adult (or a carer for other adults) in their household; or (c) self-identify a need for a befriending/chat support offer, or are referred by other services. LBN wishes to commission one VCFS organisation or a group of VCFS organisations (as a consortium, with one identified lead) to deliver the NBS. The contract will be for a 12 month period commencing on 4 January 2021 and ending 3 January 2022 with a view to delivering a high quality prototype service, providing an evidence base for potential further commissioning and/or the securing other funds.
