Mobility as a Service (MaaS) Platform — Solent Region
Descriptions
Solent Transport — a partnership comprising of Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council, Southampton City Council and Isle of Wight Council — has received funding from the Department for Transport as part of its Future Transport Zone bid to develop and launch a Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform. GBP 2.4 million has been allocated to fund the development, launch and operation of the MaaS platform until 2024 beyond which it is targeted that the platform will be financially self-sustaining on a rolling basis. The target date for launch of the platform is July 2021 following securing of the MaaS development partner by March 2021. Prior to commencing a formal procurement exercise in the autumn, Solent Transport is keen to obtain feedback from the market and is offering 1-2-1 consultation meetings to interested parties. Meetings will take place from 14 September 2020 to 25 September 2020 and can be booked via email application to procurement@portsmouthcc.gov.uk
