KCS Professional Services is a trading unit of Commercial Services Group (CSG), acting for and on behalf of Kent County Council (KCC), collectively these comprise a Procurement Buying Organisation (PBO) and Invicta Law wish to create a national, user friendly, time and cost effective Framework Agreement for the supply of Barrister Services., The Framework Agreement covers the provision and ability to provide a full range of Barrister Services and associated services., •Provision of a written opinion, •Advice, •Conference with client, •Attending advocates’ meetings, •Advocacy at hearings (Case Management, Issue Resolution, Final, Fact Finding, Emergency Protection Order, Direction, Adoption), •Appeals, •Attend Court (Magistrates, Crown, Family, County, High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, European Court of Human Rights), •Provide robust representation, •Ensure all parties are kept informed of all negotiations, •Seek realistic timescales for the filing and service of evidence, •Contact the Instructing Solicitor should an issue arise at Court which requires further instructions from an individual not present at Court, •Judicial reviews, •Adhere to all data protection and GDPR regulations in relation to material provided., •Drafting documentation to include:, •Case management Orders, •Interim and Final threshold, •Schedule of Findings, •Witness templates, •Provision of attendance note to the Instructing Officer within 24/48 hours following Court hearing, Indicative Barrister Services requirements include, but are not limited to the following categories or service provided:, Child Protection:, • Children Act 1989, • Child Abduction and Custody Act, • Interim Care or Supervision Order applications, • Emergency Protection Order applications, • Designated authority matters, • Secure accommodation applications, • Deprivation of liberty applications, • Recovery order applications, • s34(4) applications, • Female genital mutilation protection orders, • Forced marriage protection orders, • Advice on international placements and placement of children in other jurisdictions, • Discharge of care order/Revocation of a care order applications, • Adoption proceedings, special guardianship and placement orders, • Public interest immunity, • Judicial review, • Human rights claims, • Reporting restriction applications and similar injunctions relating to social media, • Inherent jurisdiction and wardship, Adult Services:, • Adult Social Care Law, • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, • Advice on statutory duties and functions, • Public health functions, • Guardianship & court of protection matters, • Coroners Inquests, • Advice, representation and support, • Litigation and forms of dispute resolution, Community Care:, • UASC: Children Act duties relating to unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and Care Leavers (UASC), • NRPF: Children Act duties relating to families with no recourse to public funds (NRPF), • Age assessments, • Triple planning, • Leaving care, • Human Rights Act: Pre-Action letters and Judicial Reviews, • Immigration detention, asylum and deportation, • Health care services, International Services:, • International trade, • Investment and regulation, • Banking and financial services, • International family law, Finance Services:, • Mergers and acquisition, • Financial regulations, • Disputes, • Payments and payment regulations, • International banking, Procurement & Contract Services :, • Public Contract Regulations, • EU Law, • Competition, • Joint procurements, • Joint venture service company, • Outsourcing, • Public sector mutual, Civil Litigation:, • Personal injury litigation, • Property litigation including possession proceedings, • Dispute resolution in relation to property disputes and commercial matters, • Public law matters such as judicial reviews and injunctions and witness support or other legal services in relation to public enquiries, • Contract disputes, • Regulatory issues, • Specialised litigation support, • Anti-social behaviour, • Debt recovery and insolvency proceedings including care home recovery and deprivation of assets, • Cost recovery and enforcement, • Advice in relation to licensing appeals for taxi and liquor licences, • Inquests and Inquiries, • Professional negligence, Services may extend beyond those listed
