The Provision of a Domestic Abuse Refuge Counselling Services
Descriptions
Work with a number of people resident in Medway refuges provision (approx. 14 adults, including their children, at any one time) some of which may not have English as their first language and some who may have more complex needs, such as a history or substance misuse or criminal justice system involvement as well as those who may have ongoing mental health issues. The case load will be built up over time, allowing more intensive work with a smaller number of individuals at the outset of the service.
